How Our New Workspace Fuels Growth and Collaboration

If you follow our Instagram page, you’ve likely seen countless posts of us carefully rolling palletized Camp Kitchens up the steep incline of our driveway, out of our cozy garage workshop, and onto a waiting lift-gate truck. Over our first year of business, this has become a bit of a ritual for us, as we load each unit by hand, giving every kitchen a personal send-off. Sometimes, I’ll even send the video directly to the customer, giving them a sneak peek of their Camp Kitchen as it begins its journey. It’s a small moment, but it represents all the work and care that goes into each handcrafted unit, and we love being able to share that experience with our customers.

This week, however, was different. It marked a major turning point for us. For the first time, we had the thrill of using a forklift to lift and load a kitchen onto the truck—a moment that felt like a true milestone in our growth. After a year of carefully maneuvering these large, awkward packages out of the garage, watching one effortlessly lifted by a forklift was almost surreal, a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come.

So, what made this leap forward possible? We’re excited to share that we’ve moved part of our operations into a larger workshop, where we’re now sharing space with Neal’s CNC. This new setup has opened up a world of possibilities. With more room to work, we no longer find ourselves bumping into each other around the workbench, tools in hand. Although Matthew’s workstations have always been meticulously organized, they were originally designed for one person at a time. The extra space has allowed us to streamline our workflow, even making room for an extra set of hands during busy periods. With this added efficiency, we’re better equipped than ever to deliver top-quality products and outstanding service to our customers.

But that’s not all—this new space has created exciting opportunities for collaboration with Neal’s CNC team. Sharing a workshop has made it much easier for Matthew to quickly bounce ideas off other skilled makers, leading to faster and smoother prototyping. We’re able to identify potential issues and fine-tune designs before cutting any material, which significantly reduces both product development time and costs.

This expansion marks a significant step in our journey, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. We’re looking forward to sharing more milestones with you as we continue to grow. Thank you for being part of this journey with us, and stay tuned—big things are coming!
