New Product Launch!

Rivian R1T with bed glider installed Open to show access to spare tire

We’re very excited to announce the launch of our newest product!

Our Camp Kitchen was developed because we like to camp. We wanted an elegant and durable solution that utilized the unique gear tunnel in the Rivian. Similarly, we developed our new Bed Glider because we use our R1T as a work truck and wanted to add more functionality to the truck bed.

Though it can be fun to send small children spelunking into the truck bed to retrieve hard to reach objects, our kids are no longer small enough for that. The Thunderbolt Adventure Supply Bed Glider for the R1T lets you quickly access the depths of your truck bed, even if you’re running a rooftop tent or tonneau cover. Made of durable powder-coated aluminum, its low-profile design accommodates popular camping accessories, including the Dometic CFX3 35 or Yeti Tundra 65 cooler under the powered tonneau. In fact, you get 16.25" of clearance under the power tonneau cover.

From the start, we knew we needed to preserve access to the spare tire well, so the unit is hinged in just the right place to facilitate tipping up the hatch. We found the OEM gas shocks for the spare tire well a bit anemic, even without the extra weight of the Bed Glider, so our kit includes upgraded shocks to enable your cover to lift more efficiently when the Bed Glider is in place. (Of course, you’ll have to remove your cooler first).

The Bed Glider is installed without tools, and the 60/40 split can be self-configured on either side of the bed. Matthew wanted it to be even more functional, so he developed the integrated mounting pattern that accommodates e-track tie-down fittings to secure small items in the bed. If you’re hauling loads over 200 LBS, we recommend that you use the truck bed tie-downs integrated into the truck and not rely solely on the Bed Glider e-track system.

The R1T Bed Glider offers a fully distributed live load capacity of 500 LBS and a distributed static load capacity of 1500 LBS, making it a sturdy option for accessing your truck bed. I shouldn’t have to say it, but as the parent of a 16-year-old, I’m used to being the buzzkill. Safety first. Never stand on the glide. The actively moving surface can cause you to fall.
