Thunderbolt Adventure Supply Overland Kitchen Featured in Car and Driver

Last year, as we launched the Overland Kitchen for the Rivian R1T, we received an exciting email from Car and Driver Magazine. They had an intriguing idea: inspired by the Over-the-Air Updates that continuously improve the R1T via software, they wanted to give their test vehicle a series of physical upgrades—and our Overland Kitchen was one of the modifications they had in mind.

What followed was a mix of excitement and anticipation—and a whole lot of waiting.

Periodically, we checked in:
“Any questions about installation?” “Nope, your instructions were great.”
“Do you have induction-compatible cookware?” “Yes, using our trusty cast-iron skillet.”

Beyond that, updates were few and far between. Month after month passed, and while we hoped the Overland Kitchen was being put to good use, we couldn’t be sure.

Finally, in December, we reached out again. This time, they had good news: their write-up was almost ready to publish! Fast forward to now, and we’re thrilled to share their review with you. Even better, the print version will be hitting newsstands soon.
