Two Years of Adventure – And a Special Thank You!
If you had asked me at the beginning of Thunderbolt Adventure Supply whether we’d have a thriving business two years later, my honest answer would have been: I have no idea! But here we are, celebrating two years of designing and delivering innovative camping gear for electric vehicles—and what an incredible journey it’s been.
Along the way, we’ve met fantastic people, explored breathtaking places, and built a community that shares our passion for adventure. We still think back to that first Gary’s Jamboree, huddled under awnings to cook in the rain. We remember early morning breakfasts at Alice’s Restaurant and the “club friends” who became regular lunch buddies. And, of course, who could forget the giant batch of paella we made at the second Gary’s Jamboree? These moments—and the ones still to come—are what make this journey so special.
For the first year and a half, we ran everything out of our San Francisco garage, including customer pickups and installations. We love seeing photos of happy customers with our neighborhood landmarks in the background. The woman in the photo above happens to be the captain of a container ship that makes a loop between Hawaii and California—(I get to meet the coolest people!)
As another exciting milestone, we’ve moved into a dedicated warehouse and workshop space right next to our CNC shop in Hayward. This new space has given us the opportunity to grow, streamline production, and continue expanding our product line.
